Relation
NERA (NDDI Relationships)
NERA (Network Relationship) - the relationships between NDDI's.
The existence of the 6 components of an NDDI, establishes the need for specific relationships between non-typical groups:
• VREL : Informational Relation (With the function of transmitting the output value to the input);
• SREL : Structural Relation (Functionality, including the composition and type of components within an NDDI);
• GREL : Group Policy (Belonging to a group or managing a group of an NDDI);
• TREL : Targets (The capability of an NDDI to complete actions based on societal requirements);
• CREL : External Communication (Communication mechanism between two isolated groups).
To form a relationship, an NDDI component creates a Connector (terminal). Two adjoined Connectors form a Relationship also known as NERA. As an outcome of this, each former Connector contains the name (LOCN+UNON) of the later for the relationship to take place.
One component may have multiple connectors.
The names of two Connectors form a unique name distinguishing the relationship:
Relationships between NDDI's are in a sense a physical connection, but at the current technological stage, they are implemented as virtual connections.
